Reading University

PARENT INFORMATION

DAILY  ATTENDANCE  -  CRITICAL TO SUCCESS

Reading University is a full 3-week program - all students must attend every day. Please book your holiday dates so that they do not conflict with the Reading University schedule so that your child can receive full program benefits.

TRANSPORTATION

If you wish to have your child use the free bus transportation to RU,  call FIRST STUDENT BUSES at 780.532.3545 after June 10th to make arrangements.

We expect to have all registrations in by June 5th and then we will send our list of students with addresses to First Student. This will allow them to figure out the schedule  and give them time to contact you.

The bus company will  make a pickup and drop-off schedule and FIRST STUDENT WILL CONTACT YOU  with pickup and drop off times.

Please be patient - First Student will be making nearly 200 calls to families!

PARENT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP AT READING U

For students not taking the bus, the student pickup and drop-off spot at NWP is in the cafeteria downstairs. For everyone’s safety caregivers must come into the building  to pick up children at the end of the day. If you are having someone other than a parent pick cup your child, please advise us and ask them to have ID available.

LUNCH AND SNACKS

Daily lunches and snacks will be provided for the children. If your child has special dietary requirements, then we ask that you send along a packed lunch to suit his/her needs.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Classes start at 9:00 am and end at 3:00 pm. Students will be in small groups and will travel with their groups to 10 different classes each day.
